Client Questionnaire

I start out every project with a series of questions. The mission is to discover more about the business, the passion behind it, and the meaning behind the work or name. Amanda and I scheduled a call to discuss the meaning behind her name since it wasn’t something that could be jotted down quickly. Over the phone she shared with me the story of what caused her to make the decision to pursue her photography full time, as well as where the name came from.

“My journey into owning my own business in photography really got a push when my father died suddenly. I jumped in, head first, and haven’t looked back. My company name has a lot of meaning behind it as it was inspired by my dad. I shared the story of how it came about and what it really meant with Hannah when we started my project. She took my story and interpreted it in a way I could never have pictured, in the most beautiful way. This is what I hoped she would do when I signed on to work with her and she delivered. Working with Hannah was totally seamless. She was patient and really took the time to talk through things with me to reach the right outcome. Because of the emotion and meaning behind my company name, it was a tall order, bringing it to life and developing the foundation of my brand, and Hannah did an amazing job.” – Amanda | Rainflower Photography

I knew that I wanted to incorporate more than just a raindrop and flower, I wanted to bring to life an aspect of her father. On the phone Amanda mentioned that her father would call her Princess. I set out to bring that aspect of royalty by having the raindrop depict a pear shaped jewel and stained glass windows.

Inspiration Board & Color Scheme

After the Client Questionnaire is finished and I have a better understanding of Amanda, her company, and her clients, I then go look at the inspiration she pinned and create a Inspiration Board. At the same time we fine-tune the branding color scheme.
